You know, sometimes, I don’t know why we spend so much time worrying about what other people think about us. All social wisdom is encapsulated in one pithy statement:

That being said, I’m still absolutely frightened for Screenwriting class tomorrow. I don’t know squat about visual or dramatic writing, and I’m not an NYU Tisch student like everyone in the class is probably going to be, and thus will look like the village idiot next to them because I am impinging on their academic subject. Plus, I now have a humpback from some weird ass exercise I did at the gym this morning that is, for the first time in my life, making me want one of those intense back rubs you get in Chinatown that literally break you in half.

Whatever. In the first episode of Lost, Jack talks about how he was so scared the first time he had to operate on someone’s spine, and he counted to five, 1 2 3 4 5. He let himself be terrified for those 5 seconds, and after he finished counting, he would just do his thang. I know going to class is not the same as cutting open someone’s anatomy to fiddle with their veins, but you know what ah mean.
